32 weeks

The hardest part about being pregnant is the weight gain. I struggled with it when I was pregnant with Evie....still struggling, but not as much, with this one. Partly because I know I can lose it because I have done it before!
This was a picture of me at the top of my fitness game :) This was taken in July, a few months before I got pregnant. It's depressing to know that I used to look like this. Now, I look like.........this:

This is me at 32 weeks. I have gained a total of 24 lbs. I'm down quite a bit at this point in the game, than I was when I was pregnant with Evie. I have started seeing the doctor every 2 weeks and my last appointment I hadn't gained any weight. I was shocked. There was never an appointment with Evie that I hadn't gained at least a couple pounds. They said since everything was measuring right on, it didn't matter that I hadn't gained anything. This last appointment I had only gained 1 lb! A lady at the gym tonight commented that just within the last few weeks, every time she sees me, it seems like my tummy has grown.....I can tell as well. And it really doesn't matter when people tell you that you are all baby, or that you are small and cute.....I don't feel it. I am definitely feeling like a large marge right about now! I also asked my doctor at this last appointment how soon they let you get an epidural when you go into labor. She said they like you to be at least a 3 or 4....yikes! I was only at a 1.5 when I got to the hospital with Evie and I thought I was going to die from the pain. However, they gave me my epidural as soon as I got there because my water had broken at home, so they knew I was going to be having the baby. She was surprised at how fast I had gone with Evie because she was my first baby so she said I could get it as soon as possible so I didn't go too fast and not be able to get it. That calmed my fears quite a bit, because I have been working myself up into a frenzy about labor with this little guy :) I also asked if there was any correlation between going 10 days early with Evie and my chances of going early with Zayne.....her answer "none." RATS! Guess we have a few more weeks and we will find out! Can you tell I'm ready to have this baby already? :)

In other parts of our lives - I will only be working for one more month! Woo hoo! I've been working in the kids center at the gym for over a year now and I'm ready to be done :) Owen has been getting busier with work and it's sad to not have him around as much :( He has a couple of his own customers this year, since last year he was basically training, so we are hoping this will come with a little more mulah (why does it seem so hard to be content with what we have)! I am also looking forward to General Conference this weekend. I love being able to listen to a prophets voice and feel so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity!

Evie's birthday bash :)

Evie starting off her birthday :) She woke up to balloons all over downstairs and her minnie mouse birthday banner up! She LOVED it! We had to work that morning and then we were busy after that getting ready for her special night.

I worked almost all afternoon on this cake for her. It was really easy. Never mind the black frosting all over the wax paper surrounding it....I was just happy it turned out as cute as it did! I died the inside pink....all though it kind of ended up looking more light orange....still tasted good!

Evie loves bowling. So we thought for her birthday night it would be a perfect activity! This is her in the car, excited as ever, to go bowling....especially with daddy :)

We invited our good friends to bowl with us and go back to our house for pizza, present opening and cake. Evie has a blast with their two boys - she was more than thrilled to spend this special day celebrating with them!

Her first bowl of the night!

Walking away like she owns the place :) She looks like such a big girl in this picture. I still can't believe she is 3.

Mommy took a turn helping Evie. Notice, no bowling shoes for me. At the risk of throwing my back out, I opted out of joining in on the actual fun. I observed and helped instead :) Also, I love my face in this picture. It makes me laugh. Pretty sure I turned around and said something about my bowling skills..........even with bumpers and a ramp, not so good!

The kids took a break for a minute to ride the race car. I loved this picture because it looks like Gunner was driving Evie all over town in his "cool car" so cute :)

Kids love balloons :)

Evie with her presents and her cake. She Loved her cake! And of course the presents!

We skyped with Grandma and Grandpa Ogden so they could be in on the fun! We wish we lived closer.

Her big Princess puzzle she got. I was right, she loved it!

Here she is, finishing up! I helped, of course, but she still did a lot of it on her own!

Playing "musical squares" that she got for her birthday. She loves games!

Putting the dora puzzle together that Grandma sent her! This is her taking a break to do some "tricks"

She loves puzzles! She got several more sets of puzzles at her birthday party on Saturday :)

This was actually after the party, but I wanted to get a picture of the streamers I did. She LOVED them!! I got this idea on pinterest. Tape the streamers to a hula hoop and then hang it from the light...worked great and made it a really fun atmosphere. We ended up having 9 kids and 7 adults at the party. It was a blast!

We played several games. The musical squares game she got on Monday for her birthday, and freeze dance. The kids LOVED the dancing one and it was so cute to watch them all bust out their moves :)

Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse cupcakes. Easy as pie....also another idea from Pinterest.

Evie LOVED the cupcakes! I thought they turned out cute :)

Opening presents.

Blowing out her candle.

Evie had such an awesome birthday week!!! We feel so blessed to have so many friends here in Moses Lake :) She is one special little girl. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!

Room make over

I'm not big into decorating. Never have been. However, our room was in major need of some new decor :) The previous bedding we had was probably 2 years old...not sure. That's how long it had been! Anyway, because we are renting and can't paint ( it's a nice excuse for me because frankly, I hate painting. I don't really have the desire to do it. It's tedious and I don't have the patience nor the time for it.) So, I decided to pick a color scheme that would go with my bland, blinding, white walls. Grey and black! Our bedroom furniture is black and I found this super cute duvet set from Target for pretty cheap. The sheets are a dark grey and they are microfiber. These are the best sheets I have ever slept on! Seriously, super soft and they were on sale at Target! I got the whole set up for $50.00. I normally wouldn't mention a cost, but thanks to my Mom and Dad's Christmas present - my gift card covered all of it! I found the curtains at Ross for super cheap and it pulls it all in so well :) Last, but not least, I love the black and white pictures above the bed! The last one is blank and as Evie has been saying: "there's one picture left....it's for baby shane (zayne)" So cute :) I would like to get a little quote to put above the pictures....we will see.

This is a picture of our master bathroom. I am putting this up because I had multiple requests from people a year ago to put up pictures of our new place here in Washington...so here ya go, a little at a time and just over a year later :) In any case, I LOVE this color of green. This is the color I want to do in Zayne's room.

People are usually surprised at how big our place is. It looks small from the outside, but it has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and a very nice, big kitchen....granite counters in all bathrooms and the kitchen has stainless steel appliances. It had never been lived in, so we were the first renters - which appealed to us as well. It also has a 2 car garage. All in all, I really enjoy living in this place. It will be the perfect size for all 4 of us :)

This is a picture of our closet in our bedroom. Again, I wouldn't normally post a picture of this, BUT I must be nesting because I organized the whole closet and took all of the clothes that no longer fit me :( and put them in a box. All of the clothes hanging are maternity clothes, and yes, I STILL feel like I have nothing to wear! I also organized and cleaned out our upstairs hall closet - but I will not bore you with a picture of that, mainly, because I didn't feel the need to document it in picture form :)

I have been busy this week with Evie's birthday celebrations and working every day. I am one tired pregnant lady! Next up - pics of Evie's big day (s) :)

I can't believe she's 3!

It feels like just yesterday, we brought you home from the hospital. It's hard to believe that it has really been 3 years! Evie, you are sweetest little girl that has ever lived! Every where you go, you get compliments on how beautiful you are. Everyone loves your blonde, curly hair! You are so grateful for everything and you always saying "thank you." You are my little side kick and do everything with me. You love your daddy just as much and love playing with him at night :) You can say your very own prayers. You always thank Heavenly Father for the day and then ask to bless mommy, daddy, Evie and baby Zayne. Then you ask to help us be happy. The sweetest, most sincere prayer ever :) Some of your favorite things right now are:

*Minnie Mouse
*Church and Nursery
*You love reading scriptures with mommy and daddy and you always want to say the prayer :)
*Going to the park and saying "hi" to mommy before going down the slide - over and over again!
*You love all foods especially strawberries, ice cream cones, broccoli, carrots, mac 'n cheese, steak, chicken, apples, string cheese, cottage cheese and cheese in general!
*If you could pick any candy in the world you would choose a sucker! You love them :)
*You LOVE puzzles and playing Memory with mommy and daddy.
*You love to hide under your blankie and are always trying to get mommy and daddy to hide with you.
*You love to fall asleep with mommy next to you and for the most part you sleep through the night in your toddler bed that you love!
* You love watching shows (Dora, Bubble Guppies and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
* You love reading books
* You love balloons!
* You love to jump rope...or try to :)
* You love skirts and anything pink!

Your daddy and I feel so blessed to have you in our family! I never knew I could love as much as I do, until you came along. It makes me sad to think you are growing up so fast! You are one special little girl and we love you more than anything in the whole world!

These pictures are in no particular order - just a collection of some of my favorite pics of our little princess! Enjoy :)
