A couple of weekends ago we celebrated my grandpa's 90th birthday! My mom and her siblings along with my grandma surprised him with a luncheon/open house for family at their church in Jerome. Ok, can I just say that my grandma is the most photogenic person I have ever seen?! Love her beautiful smile :) my grandpa has a lovely smile as well :)
I should have gotten a picture with both Evie and Zayne with Grandpa Great, but I must have spaced it while I was trying to keep Zayne out of everything! That kid....
My mom decorated so nicely and had lots of pictures to display. It looked very nice!
Our side of the family. Just missing my sister in Alaska and her family...and one sister in law!
Silly picture ;)
This picture above makes me laugh! Looks so out of character for Owen to be holding a big bouquet of brightly colored balloons ;)
The kids had fun playing on the stage while we finished cleaning up the gym.
I can't believe that my grandpa is 90! Do you think old age runs in the family? Not sure I want to live until 90. My great grandmother, so my grandpa's mother, lived until she was 95 or 96. I guess time will tell! In my mind I still remember my grandpa from when I was little and he was only in his late 60's, and he still seemed so young. I remember him lovingly taking care of my uncle who had cerebral paulsey alongside my grandmother, until he passed away; I was a senior in high school . Anyway, I remember him carrying my uncle to and from the car, or lifting him from the bed to his wheel chair. My grandfather served in WWII for 3 years and when he returned home from the war, met my grandmother on a blind date and were married shortly after. What a great legacy he has made! He is a very good man and I'm so grateful that he is still with us today :) Happy Birthday, Grandpa! We love you :)
