More updates

Owen's parents came home from their 6 month mission to South Carolina a few weeks ago. Zayne couldn't pass up a chance to ride in the tractor with Grandpa Johnston! I love this 3 generation picture :)

Some more updated pregnancy pics :)
Here I am at 25 weeks -

And here I am at 26 weeks...

I forget how much my body hurts when carrying around an extra 20+ pounds :( I'm having back and hip pain just like I had with Zayne. Some mornings I can barely put any weight only right side. It takes a little time for the pain to initially subside. Then it only hurts again if I have been sitting and try to get up to walk, then the shooting pain comes back. It's not sciatica- I'm not sure exactly where the pain radiates from....anyway. If I keep up the treadmill or elliptical at the gym it seems to help keep the muscles loosened up.

On another note - last Thursday they started digging for our new house!!!

And then this last Monday they started laying the foundation!! We are well on our way! Woo!

Maybe the house will be done before the baby comes....time will only tell :)

Lots of celebrating!!

It's hard to believe that this little sweetie....

Is now this little sweetie:

Evie turned 6 last week!!

Here is Zayne helping me find decorations at the party store!! He followed me around half of the store with this mask on!!!

Here is Evie coming down stairs to see her decorations on her birthday morning!

She had a permagrin on all day long :)

I let her open a new birthday outfit the morning of...

She loved the crown!
I made cinnamon rolls because they are her favorite :)

Ready for kindergarten!

I brought Rice Krispy treat mini cupcakes for her class. She informed me that none of the kids eat cupcakes when others have brought them for birthdays. Apparently they only eat the frosting and throw the cake part away. I'm happy to report the kids are all of their Rice Krispy Treats!!

Evie requested a bunny cake. I tried!!

Here she is opening some of her gifts....

We made up a treasure hunt for her to find her last gift!! I got a great deal on this Princess jeep on Craigslist!! The kids have been loving it!!

She has been wanting a koala bear for quite a while. She has been loving this little guy!!

The Saturday after her birthday - me, my mom, and Evie went to Cinderella. Let me say that this show was in no way geared toward little kids. Evie was really bored through most of it.....and went to the bathroom 3 times in the last half of the movie. Oh well...memories made :)

On Sunday we celebrated with my side of the family! Here is a shot of the younger cousins :)

The next week Evie had her 6 year check up! She was in the 30th percentile for weight and 80th percentile for her height. Her BMI is 6%. The doctor said she wasn't concerned about her BMI because she looked very healthy. She's just tall and skinny - that would explain why her waist still fits in 5t pants, but she definitely needs a 6 in length!

We love you, Evie! You are such a sweet and loving girl! You are so full of sunshine and happiness! You are an excellent big sister and we are so lucky to have you in our family!! Happy 6th birthday, Princess!!!

Spring time!

We haven't been up to much lately - Just living life. A couple of Monday's ago we went to D&B and Evie was loving the cowgirl gear! She loved the pink hat and had to try the belt on with it :)

We spotted these glitter boots and fell in love!! I was surprised that she didn't want to try the pink ones on. She said she liked the "Cinderella" ones - blue and sparkly :) I loved them too, but not for $75 - yikes!!! I can't believe this girl will be 6 in almost a week. How am I old enough to have a 6 year old?!!!

While Evie is at school, Zayne is my little buddy. He loves to play with his train track that Santa brought him for Christmas :)

He also loves Grandma! She was reading him some books one afternoon - he loves books!!

The weather has been so beautiful the last couple of days. We have been spending lots of time outside. Evie loves tying the wagon to her bike so she can pull Zayne around. This particular day we were heading to the park :)

Zayne loves taking showers. The other night I walked into the bathroom and he had put this Scooby Doo wash cloth on his head and was saying, "GHOS! GHOS!!" It was really cute :)

And then he would take the washcloth off and just laugh hysterically! He thinks he's pretty funny!! He has such a handsome little smile!!!

We are trying to get ready for the baby! I found a car seat that I really liked and when I got it home the kids had fun playing with it for a little while. This included buckling a baby doll in it and then smiling for a picture :)

I have this app on my phone that updates my pregnancy progress and the baby's progress. It has a spot to put a belly bump picture every week. So I have been taking one every week. Here are a few from the past few weeks.
This one is from 22 weeks...

23 weeks....

24 weeks....this was yesterday before the gym. Excuse the makeup less face :/ I've been lucky enough to make it to the gym 4-5 times a week.  At my last appointment I gained 7lbs in one month :/ I know you are supposed to gain weight while pregnant, but it's still not my favorite thing!! I've gained 20lbs so far and I'm 24 weeks along. I'm hoping to keep it under 30lbs. I guess we will see.... The baby is healthy - his heart rate was at 154 bpm. My next appointment is the glucose test and my ultrasound to check and see if the placenta has moved up and farther away from my cervix. I'm really hoping it has because it could mean a lot of problems if it is too close.

Here I am still at 24 weeks......

We are still waiting for permits to start the building process. Why is it taking so long?! We got an update on Friday that said there is a new person in charge if issuing permits, so it's taking longer than normal :( I'm just trusting that Heavenly Father knows what He is doing and hopefully won't make us wait forever!!
