My dear sweet grandmother passed away Christmas Eve morning. It was very bitter sweet. My sister and I went down the Sunday before to say our goodbyes and I'm so glad we did. She loved Christmas music and as she was lying in her bed in and out of awareness, we offered to turn on some Christmas music for her. The song "Silent Night" came on and she immediately said "I love this song." and then went back to unawareness. It was hard to see her like that....slowly declining, but I had no doubt that my grandpa and other loved ones on the other side of the veil were there to comfort her. She was one of the most amazing women I have ever known. She was strong, resilient, always happy, loving, full of service and above all, kind to every single person she ever met. I think about her every day and I know she is watching over us and cheering us on as we continue our lives here in mortality. I'm so grateful for the knowledge of eternal families and for the wonderful opportunity we have to be sealed to our families in the temple.
I gave this ornament to my Mom and Dad. Grandma loved the color Red :)
I got this ornament at a RS ornament exchange party earlier in the month. My grandma also loved pearls and the minute I got it, I knew it would be perfect to put her picture in!
Some pictures I found of us through the years with my grandma!
Cute brothers playing video games together :)
Christmas morning on our way to celebrate with family!
Evie and her cousin Lilly having a gift exchange. Her cousin LOVES sloths and we found this awesome sheet set at Ross for $10! I love good deals :)
Poor little guy was all tuckered out the day after Christmas. Come to find out both him and Zayne tested positive for Influenza. It was a horrible couple of days. Luckily no one else got it!
