The week leading up to Halloween, Evie's school was doing the just say no to drugs week. So they got to do silly things each day and they had something connected about no doing drugs to these different days. Anyway, this day was crazy hair day. I thought it would be fun to make Evie's hair into troll hair!! This was our practice run the night before:
Later that night Colton discovered this big bird backpack and these mickey Mouse slippers. He was loving it!
This was the morning of crazy hair day! She insisted on being *almost all pink to match her hair! She yelled enthusiastically "TROLL IN THE HOUSE!" she is such a funny girl. She had the poses to go along with her new do!
As I drove Evie to school I had a dragon accompany us. I couldn't stop laughing because these two were so funny!!
We also caught a beautiful sunset on our way to the back gate of the school!
Later that morning was Zayne's preschool Halloween party!!
We went to the school later that day for Evie's parent teacher conference. It was a beautiful and warm day!! So we enjoyed a walk and a scooter ride to the school :) Evie has been doing great in school. She is having kind of a hard time with math and her handwriting could be better - like mother, like daughter apparently ;)
The next night we went to a Halloween safety night in Star at the St. Alphonses quick care. We had gotten a postcard in the mail several weeks beforehand and the kids were quite obsessed with going!! We had a beautiful sunset to accompany us to the safety fair!
There weren't any kids ahead of us. so they got to walk right in. They had little stations set up in the different check up rooms. Face painting, fishing game, bean bag toss, etc. They had lots of fun - we left Colty home with daddy because it was too much work to bring him a long. He hates his carseat and I hate listening to him cry - so that's how that went!
When the kids make a mess I make them clean it up. I don't think that this is much of a punishment for Zayne. He loves vacuuming, and sweeping...but it gets done, so that's a plus!

I got invited to a sign making party of a gal in my ward. I chose to make this sign! I thought it turned out pretty cute!
The Saturday night before Halloween our ward had their trunk or treat and donuts party!

I was a lion. I tried to follow a makeup tutorial online!! I'm definitely not the greatest, but I tried!
On Halloween we trick or treated the city of Middleton with some of our friends!!
Halloween was so rushed because it was a school night and I thought we were meeting with my family at 6:30 but that was when they were planning to go trick or treating and that's when we left middleton. So we spent most of the night trying to find the group and trick or treating on the way. We never found them and then only saw everyone for maybe 20 min and then we headed home. But we still had fun!
And this was how we ended the night.....Colton in full on tantrum mode. I don't remember Evie or Zayne being as cranky as this kid is...but we still love him ;)
