Everyone asks me if Zayne looks like Evie when she was a baby. You know, I really can't tell.....see for yourself. I think they look different!
This was Evie....she had huge eyes. She still has big eyes and they are beautiful! I don't remember how old she was in this pic...but I know she was older than this next pic of Zayne.
His eyes are not quite as big :)
This is the closest similarity I see between the two. This top pic is of Evie sleeping........bottom pic is of Zayne sleeping....once again - Evie was older in her pic than Zayne was in his. But I think they have the same mouth and possibly nose. See - No strikingly similar photos of my two babies. Maybe it's different because they are boy and girl? Not sure. Either way, they are the 2 cutest babies I have ever seen!! :)
I love this pic of Zayne. This was before we moved. He was only a week old :)
Here he is with Grandma Johnston! Some people complain about their mother in-law. But I can NOT complain! This woman is wonderful! She helped pack up the rest of my house after my parents left. She did most of the cleaning as well. She helped so much with the kids. We couldn't have moved with out her help!! She is a very selfless person and we are very grateful for all she does for our family!
OK! Here is a picture of Zayne with his big eyes :) This is one of the first pictures I took with my new camera that Owen got me for my birthday!! I LOVE it and it takes great pictures! (Side note) I was spoiled for my birthday. I got a nice camera and a gift certificate for an hour long massage and a pedicure! Thanks, Owen. Love you!!
This was after church on Sunday. It's hard to find clothes for little boys for church!!
Evie loves to get in pictures with Zayne :)
On my other camera I have a picture of Evie with her 3 girl cousins that are her age, all dressed up in the princess dresses that Evie got for Christmas this past year. They have so much fun together! Sometimes, however, it ends up like the above picture - disagreements...I thought it was funny :)
Also on my other camera was pictures of Zayne meeting my grandparents for the first time. Oh, well. These pics will have to wait until I find my camera cord!! But, this pic is of my Grandma Haberman with her twin sisters. Them and my grandpa came up on Tuesday for my mom's birthday so I got to snap a few shots with my new camera :)
We are so glad when daddy comes home!! Evie LOVES her daddy and usually doesn't leave his side once he gets home! He's been working so hard and has had some long and hard days, but he is really enjoying his job!
This was our first outing to the pool for the summer! I LOVE Zayne's little swim shirt and hat! I got them both at the Gymboree outlet for 10 bucks!! Not bad :)
Evie was a little hesitant at first, but decided she liked the water after all! She never got confident enough to go down the slide, maybe by the end of the summer! Here she is with Cousin Reagan.
He is so sweet :)
Having fun with Cousin Lilly :) Cousin Becca is in the background! I'm so lucky to have so many great nieces and nephews. Becca helped Evie the whole time at the pool and her and my other nieces and my Sister in law helped hold Zayne. We are sure spoiled to be so close to family!
Having two kids has definitely been an adjustment. BUT, I think I lucked out because Evie is such a good natured little girl. She loves Zayne! She doesn't ask to hold him much, but doesn't try to hurt him or acts jealous of him. She had some regression with potty training...not sure if it was the baby being born, the moving....the whole uprooting of her little life (I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was) Anyway, she is doing much better now!! I'm tired, as any new mommy can attest to. It's a lot of work to move. Especially out of state. Because I had a WA drivers license, I have to take the written test to get my Idaho one back........not to mention changing all addresses on any accounts we have. Changing insurance......finding temporary insurance until Owen's starts up through work....it's been very stressful and tiring. We are making it, though! It's been helpful living at my parents - they are soooo helpful with Evie and Zayne!! I consider it a huge blessing, although we will be happy to have our own space when the time is right :) I have mine and Zayne's six week appt. coming up on Monday and I can't wait to be able to hit the gym again. I will miss my work out buddies when I go back, but maybe I can talk Owen into replacing them :)
