A few days after Christmas Evie lost one of her front teeth! She was SO excited!
We went to Chuck E Cheese and Evie took this freaky picture of herself!!! That missing tooth makes her look like a monster in this picture!
Evie's cousin, Keegan, was baptized the beginning of the year. She has a cousin, Macey, who had lost her front tooth as well!
Her other cousin, Abbie, lost her first bottom tooth a few weeks earlier! Look at those cute toothless smiles :)
Evie is usually loving school! She is doing 100 times better with her reading, but is still trying to get better at it. Her report card said she was a leader in Math (didn't get that from her mom!) and is so wonderful to have in class! She is so excited to learn. She frequently comes home to tell us about different things she is learning. This last week they have been going over an astronomy unit. She is loving it! And she knows all of the names of the planets. She is such a sweet, loving girl! Just last night I was crying to Owen just thinking about how much she is growing. She isn't my little girl anymore and it makes me sad. Owen thinks I am nuts - it must be a mom thing?!
On New Years Eve we ate Mongolian BBQ as a little family and then went home and went to bed! The kids were finishing up some nasty colds/pink eye/ worst two week of my life! My kids LOVE this place - they gobble it up every time we go!
Zaynes absolute favorite in his Mongolian BBQ is the zucchini, broccoli, and carrots!
Owen's sister, Roxi had us for Christmas. The package didn't arrive before Christmas, but who doesn't enjoy a little late gift?! The kids have had fun playing operation and they also gave us a $25 gift card to Applebee's, which we are saving to use on our trip!
Oh, Zayne! He is so different from Evie, and not just anatomically speaking. He is what I would classify as a type 3 (thank you Carol Tuttle!) Sometimes, ok, most of the time, we butt heads. He is head strong and stubborn and knows just what to do to press my buttons. BUT he can also be so sweet. He always likes to share his candy and he loves Colton. Colton loves him too! He will just laugh and laugh when Zayne is jumping or running around!
Zayne was on a play dough kick for a while. He made ornaments one day and came to show me!
We didn't see his speech therapist for a few weeks, including the week before Christmas, so she brought him his Christmas gift a few weeks after Christmas. She got him a little bucket of plastic animals, which also included plastic trees and rocks. He loved them!
She also got him a snackeez! He was loving that for quite a while as well! He ate almost every meal out of that thing for a while!
He sure loves Miss Becky! She is the BEST! She said that he is really close to being done with speech therapy! We are so grateful our prayers have been answered and that he is basically caught up to where he should be developmentally!
Zayne was dying to play this pretty princess game with me one day after we got Evie to the bus stop. Owen hasn't seen this picture yet. I don't think he would be too excited ;)
Zayne LOVES chocolate! A boy after my own heart :)
Zayne is all boy! We found this John Deere shirt on clearance and he has loved it! He went with Owen to an Ag show the other day. He was sad he didn't get to go back to Owen's office with him. He's a funny little guy!
Here is Zayne posing!! He did this one all on his own ;)
This kids LOVES to be outside! I can not wait for spring time!!
They are finally building on one of the empty lots next door! Zayne was enjoying the big mud/dirt pile the construction workers left one evening :)
I had the pleasure of getting together with two of my best friends from high school the middle of January! No matter how long its been (almost 2 years, I think!) between our get together's its like we pick up just where we left off!
I captured this beautiful sunrise last week!
I also snagged these Asic running shoes at Sierra Trading Post last Saturday for $6.30! I would call that the best deal of the year!
Speaking of shoes- I needed to find a good pair of supportive shoes for Disneyland since we will be walking so much. I am a huge fan of Chaco Sandals. But I wanted something with more protection than flip flops. I tried every non sandal Chaco shoe out there and they were all too narrow for my feet. I tried a pair of Keens and I didn't care for those either. I finally decided to try some Merill shoes, after trying a pair of my sisters on. These are amazing! They have excellent arch support and they feel like I put my feet on a cloud!! Lets hope they live up to it with all of the walking I will be doing!
Speaking of Disneyland - we are getting super excited for our trip! I attempted mickey mouse pancakes at one point. The kids thought I was amazing!! Way to boost your mom's confidence!
Evie made a little shrine on her desk to all of the things she had that were Disney! Can you tell we are excited to go! Only 3 more days ;)
